Rumors heating up. I told you that he is near done at Kentucky. It doesn't appear we'll have an opening but he would have at least considered coming home

The UK/Calipari marriage is in year 14 and they are sleeping in separate rooms at this point. I think the kids will keep it together for at least one more year.

Then Capel to Kentucky and, finally, Sean Miller to Pitt. Right? ;)

Saw Jamie’s name mentioned. Agent getting a jump on leaving threats this season. Usually didn’t start until late February or March

I remember Jamie pulling that jive ass stunt at least once when there was an opening at Ariz St . I cant remember the other times he did that . I know Walt pulled the same move multiple times . Duzz has never rolled that way and thats wht he will break jock sutherlands win total

If you're as sick in the head as I am, Rupp Rafters has some great meltdown threads. Meltdown threads are the best.

IDK why Calipari would want to coach Texas instead of in the NBA but maybe no good NBA jobs are open? He's said he wants to prove himself there again before but maybe that stage of his life is over.

I'd be curious what happens with the infamously massive buyout. Would UK lower it? Would Texas pay the whole thing?

It's a common practice and perfectly acceptable for good coaches to test the waters. Coaches, like all of us, aren't tied down to one position or job. If you're not looking for something better, you're not doing YOUR job and deserve to flounder wherever you are.

Don't kid yourself...Duzz has done it. Just because he's not as in demand as others doesn't mean he hasn't tried. And he should. There are no loyalties in sports from either players or coaches. You're naive if you think otherwise.

He coached once in the NBA. He failed miserably. Got huge buy out when he was fired. He is a great recruiter. He doesn’t need to recruit in the NBA.

Lol they were a 2 seed last year. You’re a nitwit who only bases things on a single elimination largely luck tournament.

Texas is gonna throw 100 mill at him for good reason.
There is absolutely no doubt that the university of Texas has much deeper pockets, stupid money.

It's not last year. It's the last 6 years.

In the last 6 years, (and I'm including this season that is fast becoming a lost cause) he has won 1 SEC Regular Season Championship, 1 SEC Tourney Championship, and he's only made the Elite 8 once in that time frame. Not only that, he's going to post double digit losses 3 times in a 6 year period. AT KENTUCKY.

The current product is unwatchable.

FWIW, Considering Texas fired Rick Barnes, I'd say they have at least some expectations for that single elimination "mostly luck" tournament.
