about social media posters who pose as Pitt fans and try to disrupt our recruiting? I apologize up front for posting this on this board (but its the only one I post on). Someone going by @TotalYinzer lists himself as a Pitt fan but posts nothing but negative stuff about Pitt (football and basketball). I wouldn't normally care about that, but he has taken to tweeting out to Cassius Winston, who is one of the top point guards in the country who just announced Pitt being in his final 3 schools, a bunch of stuff, like: "[Winston is] an average at best player who won't make the NBA. Nothing to see or be excited about here." "Name the last great Pitt player in the NBA." "Come to Pitt if ur goal is to barely make the NCAA tourney." etc. Again, he is sending these tweets directly to the recruit.
