I guess the hidden stat is scoring margin in wins and the fact Pitt crushed teams in their first 12 wins because kenpom has Pitt 33 and Oregon 35 although Pitt has slipped to 45 in Torvik (Oregon 39) however last year Pitt finished 30th in Torvik and UVA was 62 so…
I get the NCSOS screw job last year but the more I study these stats from the last 3 years, the less this makes logical sense.
