Capel on the 20-point win, Champagnie's return and more

Very short and curt about Hugley. Not that I was expecting him to elaborate too much but it would have been nice to know when he knew about this.

Do you really think he was gonna get into any details? No chance. No coach would. Nor should they.

I get that we’re all fans and we’re all curious about a lot of things. But some info isn’t for everyone.

He may have known within days. And that might not even matter. You’d have to know what he knew, when he knew and what Hugley told him. With an investigation it’s very unlikely law enforcement told him anything. And what kid in that situation isn’t going to try to put himself in the best light no matter what he did?

Unless Capel knew everything for sure (extremely unlikely) as tough of a spot as it is, he had to let it play out.

And being a legal matter - and a fairly serious one with 3 felonies - he was probably told to keep his mouth shut.

Found this quote from Jeff Capel to be very interesting. Especially because there are still some posts from time to time that question if Pitt runs a planned offense with offensive sets:

”We found kind of an action that we run that we had some success with against their zone, and we just kept doing it over and over.”

Yep. They sure did. To the tune of 64 2nd half points.

Also very happy to read that Nike is OK and was available today. So it doesn’t sound like there was anything lingering.
