that son who decides to join the family business and seems destined to be successful. Looks the part, acts the part, etc. But is just really bad at the actual job.

For Capel, if I were to point to one thing that's caused his failure at Pitt it would be that players dont seem to like him. He's had terrible struggles recruiting and players he's gotten couldn't leave fast enough. For whatever the reason, he doesn't seem to be the guy that players gravitate towards.

The biggest upset is the players liked and stood behind the old cranky white HC over the cool woke uncle black HC.

was looking back on Capel first season here. Took care of the OOC pretty much with a hiccup to Niagara but beat a solid SLU team and should’ve beat Iowa at Iowa.

then 3 ACC wins with Ville and ranked FSU wins coming early.

program had all sorts of momentum but basically since that first FSU win, we would’ve been better off riding stallings out to year 4 in hindsight .
