He was always coming back for one more, now if he "makes progress" he will be back for two, then perhaps, the seat gets warm. IMO
No. He still could get fired after this year if he loses most of his good players. The reason he is coming back next year, besides the large buyout, is because the team has some hope but only if the good players return. If he loses them and we're picked 15th again, there's no point.
Define "progress". To me, progress is if this year, we get into the NIT. Nothing less. And we're not doing that. Not even close.
Progress is also defined as Capel getting at least 1 top 50 player out of high school and getting at least 2 elite portal guys to come to Pitt for next year. That isn't happening either.

Lots of definitive statements on “both sides”. The only thing I’m sure of is very very few have any clue what’s really going on.
- 6 straight losing seasons for Capel
- We are 10-16 in Year 4
- ZERO recruits
- No foundation
Although I understand your general point, I'm not sure getting a top 50 hs kid is realistic. They want to see a product on the floor that they can jump into and be a part of winning.
What world are you living in , a top 50 kid and 2 elite portal guys ? There’s not one coach in the country who’d come to Pitt who could achieve this without suitcases full of cash ( bitcoins would do ) .
Some of this Fanbase Deserves 10 more years of the Capel Brothers.. We Struggle to beat NC State at home and some are calling it an IMPORTANT VICTORY for the Program to get to 10-16 in year 4..

There hasn't been any progress and if Capel had like 2 or 3 years left on his contract, he'd be done. 5 years is too much. Its as simple as that.

Fact- ACC is a Mess
Fact- We are one of the Worst teams in this mess of a Conference.
The Capels are in Charge of this Mess of a program in this Mess of a Conference..
If so, they are more concerned with his buyout than fixing the BB program.
