Capel

Now what .
just a fan .
Possible regression towards the mean but hopefully continued improvement. I don’t think anyone really saw last year happening with the roster, but we saw what team work could do. I think a lot hinges on Hinson coming back and will see if they can land that Niagara player or anyone else to fill out the roster. Likely more depth than last year, but is the whole better than last year.

Pitt is far from back yet. One decent year is all that happened last year. Let's wait and see what Capel does this year and the following couple of years before saying he brought us back. It's a start, which is better than what we've had for the past 5 years. But that's all it is....a start.

Yeah, because they were just such great, and mature, kids, they overshot as a team.
Been a LONG time since that happened.
But, the special sauce that led to that is not something that be recreated on demand.
It was a great reprieve and created a toe hold for HCJC to maybe get thing moving more substantively in the right direction.
Definitely would feel better if they can pull the Niagra kid, but this the best returning roster, talent wise, we have seen a long time, too.

I have a feeling they may have a better OoC start or at least not get blown out and nose dive the NET, but may lose more close games, well, just because it is hard to win as many as we did this year. That could also equate to a bubble team, which I’ll gladly take again.

I was thinking the same thing. They are going to lose to WVU but it will be on the road and by 8-12 instead of home by 30 and they arent going to lose a NYC game by 30. But, yes, it would be almost impossible to duplicate winning as many close games as they did. And its why their NET was so bad. So I worry that even a 12-8 ACC record without the blowout OOC losses would be good enough.
