Below are some Articles on Pitt Fans Recruiting Concerns, Explanations and Polls. In the early 1970s, I recall......Johnny Majors saying....."When Rebuilding A Football Program You First Must Crawl, Then Walk, Then Run!"

Pitt crawled from 1996 to 2000, started to walk from 2000 to 2012 among Conference Raiding, Expansion and Budget Restraints, and continued to Walk from 2013 to 2014 since joining the ACC now just seeing new stability.

How I see it from 2015-17 Pitt has been doing a faster jog but is ready to Run. This is due to Great Coaching, Stable Athletic Bigger Income Budgets, and finally more Staff & Recruiting Vacancies Being filled, with more stability in Athletic Director's Department.

The Recruiting Class will be smaller and most likely will end up Ranked 35 to 45 by only having 15 to 18 Players, based on Chris Peak In the Know Analysis.

The upcoming Scheduling Season is also far more challenging having to replace key Players and Two Coaches, and 2017 will be the year seeing just how fast Pitt can start to Run.

We shall see, but Pitt is on to way to Running, in just Coach Pat & Staff 3rd Year in the ACC, in my view.

Based on the recent additions this week, how do you feel about Pitt's class as opposed to a week ago?

If I were a betting man I would expect the class to wind up nearer to 18 rather than 15. Classes always seem to wind up with larger numbers on LOI day than expected/predicted in May/June.

FWIW, I never have had any concerns whatsoever about the number of commits before the fall. This is more true with Narduzzi at the helm. I am always confident he will land at least a decent size and quality of class by LOI day and I don't pay much attention to targets or fret over whether we land a particular player or do not in the early going. My focus is on commits and mostly on whether a player's film and/or offer sheet indicates he has potential to be a big time success at Pitt.

I also have confidence that any commit this staff takes in spring summer is one they really like irrespective of fan perception's based on number of stars assigned by the recruiting entertainment websites. These early commits are guys the staff has well scouted and/or seen in person in camp(s) so they know what they are getting irrespective of "stars." They aren't settling for mediocrity early because they don't have to and because they don't want to lose too many slots needed to sign highly rated recruits being recruited by numerous major programs who won't decide until December or later.

Good Post above and agree with all of them. This is the New Era when signings will come December and not many De-Commits, On the Fence Recruits, except maybe where Coaches lose jobs. Much now depends on the Season Outcomes whether some Teams go 10-2 as expected or 7-5, most Programs always have 1 to 2 Changes. This December Signing will amke it harder for Commits to back out and so expect few changes or big uptake in closings in February as in previous years.

If 18 is number is the case Expectations Rankings Comparison:

Recruiting Rankings 18 to 19 Recruits 2017:
Rank-School-Total*-5*-4*-3*
19 Stanford 14-3-7-4
21 UCLA 18-2-6-8
22 Clemson 14-3-6-5
23 Washington 18-0-7-10
31 Texas 18-0-8-8
35 Wisky 18-0-5-10
55 NWU 19-0-0-16
66 Boise 19-0-1-12
