Many places. but not all
Unlike football where perception and loaded home games for top programs dominate, CBB is performance centric.
And it makes everyone play by the same rules. Sometimes there are unfair aspects, but life ain't fair.
Pitt's record tells the story quite well. This was a mediocre team: capable of strong and weak performances in equal numbers.
No tourney because it didn't earn it.
It is abundantly fair to criticize JD.
He makes a boatload of money and for reasons that are within his job description (recruiting, suspensions, assistant coaches, etc..) he has not come up to standard again.
Criticizing someone isn't bad. It's necessary to correct mistakes.
This isn't Tball.
It's big time college sports where coaches are the premium commodity.
JD deserves to be criticized.
He strikes me as man enough to take it and learn.
Hope I'm right.
