CBS Sports projects Pitt to be #24 This Week

i am hoping about the same. IMO with our wins, we should pass every single one of these teams that lost.

AP poll
25. LSU good win, only 4 loss team ranked last week
24. Tennessee 4th loss, to unranked Vandy
23. WSU lost by 28
22. aTm 4th loss to LSU
21. Utah 4th loss to Colorado
20. Boise St lost to unranked Air Force

19. WVU won big
18. Houston lost to unranked Memphis
17. Nebraska lost by 30 to unranked Iowa
16. Auburn lost to Bama for 4th loss

15. FSU won

Sagarin's computer had us at #28 going into the Cuse game and favored by ~19 points. I suspect we stay just outside the top 25 in the Sagarin Computer Ratings (not worse than #30) when they are out later today.

But, as you indicate, squeaking into the back end of one of the human picked top 25 polls is a possibility.

Still #28 on Sagarin's computer.

Still #28 on Sagarin's computer.

-I take those rankings with a grain of salt. Somehow, Pitt has played 6 of Sagarin's Top 30 teams, but Pitt has an SOS of 28. West Virginia has played 3 Top 30 teams per Sagarin, and has an SOS of 30. Washington State lost to an FCS team and Boise State and got buried into the ground by Washington. They also have 4 losses and only played 3 Top 30 teams, yet they are ranked 14th. There is no doubt in my mind Pitt would beat up Washington State, and Penn State would beat them up too, along with Oklahoma State, UNC, Virginia Tech, and about 2/3's of the teams on Pitt's schedule. I never get into these ranking metrics, not this, Pomeroy, or any of these analytic bullshit websites.

How is TCU with a 6-5 record and a SOS of 41 and 0-3 vs the top 30 tied with us at 28 in the Sagarin? And how does he have OK St at 19?
