Celtics vs Nets

You might want to look at tv ratings. Same as CNN.
I look at them plenty. I can also look at other aspects of engagement, such as social media, or even look at valuations of teams, TV deals etc. Let’s talk about MLB and NHL ratings while we’re at it too. Why no word about them? Doesn’t fit your agenda, huh

Really entertaining game. Durant is great but the Nets just don’t have a chance to win four games with Kyrie and Durant having to basically play the entire game.

Kyrie is only going to make the situation worse by flipping off the crowd. The Boston crowd is going ramp it up even more.

US TV ratings are up this year. It's also the most popular league in China, 2nd in a lot of Europe, and rapidly growing in India. 300 million people in China follow NBA athletes on social media, and 150 million play the game themselves.

Anyway, great play by Smart to pump fake and chose to pass and by Tatum to realize if he immediately went into a spin move he'd avoid committing a charge and still have time for the lay up.

Great job just letting them play and not calling a timeout to draw something up. Nets were scrambling the last 7 seconds. The Smart pump took Claxton out of the play. Left Kyrie and Dragic underneath to stop a cutting Tatum. Game over.

Except for Kyrie's refusal to be vaccinated, these teams could have been playing in the conference finals, rather than the first round.

Dying that Ben Simmons still hasn't suited up for the Nets yet. Probably hurt his thumbs working on his kill:death ratio in Call of Duty.

My 4 month old is more mentally resilient.

I think it's ludicrous that they're talking even remotely about a return in Game 5 or 6. Will most certainly do more harm than good for the Nets.

Ben is not playing unless they make the ECF or NBA Finals. And maybe not even then. He's hoping the Nets lose because he's scared of the crunch of playoff basketball. But he'll be ready to face the Wizards and Hornets come December!

I'm so glad the Sixers got rid of him. Even though Harden isn't the Harden of old, I was just tired of Ben's antics. Tired of the less than 5 3-point attempts per year. Tired of the mean mugs. And definitely tired of having to go to guys like JJ Reddick and Seth Curry because our max contract PG can't be bothered to attempt a shot in the 4th quarter of any playoff game.

Ben has the heart of an actuary. I've never seen such a mismatch of physical talent and mental weakness. The Young Socialite, indeed.

Shame this series ended in 4, I was really looking forward to watching Ben in game 5.

I can't imagine the Nets want him back next year, but what team would want to take him?

Did you forget the sarcasm font? Simmons was never playing.

Im glad the Nets got swept. KD looked like an absolute chump.

I can never remember which is for sarcasm.

I know you dislike KD, but I never caught the reason why. I don't mind him. After game 1, I thought Kyrie looked disinterested for the most part.

Any thoughts on SImmon's future?

I don't dislike KD necessarily. I'm mostly engaging in some lighthearted trolling. I *DO* think he's getting a pass that LeBron never got. This flame out against Boston, in my opinion, is worse than LeBron's bad series against the Mavs in 2011.

I *DO* think there's something to be said that KD hasn't been able to elevate a team on his own. And I agree, Kyrie was checked out the whole series.

I don't know what you do with Simmons. I see his fit with KD and Kyrie and he's in a position where he doesn't HAVE to shoot. I just don't know if he likes playing basketball. Hard to tell what's genuine injury and mental health challenges vs. him just not wanting to play poorly and get booed. I think if you're the Nets you have to roll the dice and hope for the best.

Lol...you mean game 5 of next season, if he even ever plays again. That guy is such a 🤡

You gotta love that both the Nets and Lakers are at home now. Maybe $$$$$$ doesn’t always buy success

Wow. Embiid out with a broken orbital bone “for the foreseeable future”. That bow from Siakam didn’t look that bad but I guess it caught him just right. Or wrong.
