Saw that too. Liberty has way better facilities than Coastal Carolina, but still that’s a pretty lateral move for a guy who presumably is qualified for a P5 opportunity.
Nothing lateral about it for Chadwell. He went from making $1 mil per year to $4 million. That's a steep increase.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Probably a little easier to win at Liberty than a P5 school. So if they're going to pay you about the same anyway... well.
He also takes over a good program. Maintain and improve slightly and he’s probably in line for a better P5 job as opposed to leaving directly for P5 now and landing a job at a lesser program.

Yes but its not even a lateral move competitively. Sun Belt to CUSA is a significant step down. This is CUSA next year

If he's got a short list of major power 5 schools in mind, this is a smart move. He can get paid very nicely and continue to build his hype.
