he's a highly rated tight end. little over a month ago he talked about us being the leader. flash forward to now, if you believe the internet gossip syracuse is the leader. he is visiting them this weekend i believe. i find this interesting because babers the new coach there runs a full spread. i'll be honest, i didn't watch many bowling green games when he was coaching there but i would be really surprised if the tight end in that style of offense plays a big role.

this position is a big need for us, were thin there and our top option next year, we have no idea how that will work out.

Isn't he also visiting Pitt soon?

i have no doubt he will make another visit. but why the Cuse and that full on spread for a TE?

I know some people who are close to his situation, and right now it's Syracuse in 1st, Alabama in 2nd.

He sees himself as a receiver more than a tight end, and that's his preferred choice for the next level. Sounds like he'll be seeing more time out there this season.

he's listed at 6'5 240. if those numbers are close, he's not going to be a WR in college.

I don't know much about recruits and defer to all here, but I know about Coaches. Dino Babers will rebuild Syracuse into a successful winning program and will be a challenge for Pitt in the future.

If he doesn't commit on his visit to SU or shortly there after....and actually makes another trip to Pitt, I like our chances.

725, i believe you know some things...just as a family member told me Jurkovec had not ruled out Pitt yet and then committed to ND a few weeks after....only the kid and mom/dad know what's really in his head/heart. What I feel fairly confident in is that this is a Pitt/Syracuse race for him. If Saban and Alabama really wanted him, he would be committed by now. Saban and Bama are not going to play nice on a recruit so he can visit and weigh offers from schools on the level of a Pitt or Syracuse. Think about that for a minute.

I completely agree with you man. I was never trying to make any predictions, just telling the board what I've heard. Apologizes if it came off that way. I'm hoping Pitt can pull this off as well.
