Diallo 2015-16 Stats: 2.9 PPG, 53.8 FG%, 53.8 FT%, 2.6 RPG
Not exactly one & done type production and makes this Pitt fan wonder what might have been if ole Cheick woulda said "Pitt is it" rather than accumulating splinters in Lawrence. Hey KU is KU I'm not disputing that but sometimes when a team like Pitt has a gaping hole at C smart money dictates you take that spot, play a ton of minutes & work yourself into the NBA lottery. Would have been used much like Big Steve Adams & both Pitt & Cheick would have been the better for it. Oh well, one can dream. Let's get a W today. H2P

I don't think he was ready for primetime as a freshman. The academic mess didn't help either and put him behind the 8 ball

He would have helped. Probably a similar impact of Khem Birch minus the drama.

To be fair, he was way behind due to the qualifying issues. But, the coaching at OSNA is sort of non-existent.

Diallo was back and playing on December 1st. Had he come to Pitt and sat and was playing by that date he would have been well up to speed by mid January. It's basketball, not rocket science. His long arms wouldn't have shrunk while sitting out. He'd be a defensive presence at Pitt and starting at center.

On the other hand, had he come to Pitt, it would've been held against Dixon in recruiting. The kid is a project in many ways, and that is showing at KU. Had he come to Pitt, instead of the conclusion being that he is a project that needs development, it might have been that Dixon is poor at developing bigs, and other bigs would be further inclined to look elsewhere.
