Damn, I was just watching Neil Cavuto on Fox News and I look up at my tv and see a Trivago commercial with Jorginho, Mount and Havertz checking into a hotel and goofing around in the lobby. Holy cow. Not sure I’ve ever seen something like this before in this country. I’ve seen Nike commercials with soccer players and Pepsi commercials during soccer matches with Messi, Salah, etc. but to look up and see 3 of my favs during a news show was pretty profound to me.

soccer has certainly come a long way.

Well of course we had the Russian oligarch owner, so Fox would be a natural partner right?;). But we now have the Dodgers owner who is American, so I thought maybe that was it. But truth be told, it’s simply a Trivago commercial that feature Chelsea players. Sure they are 3 world class players and known all over the world. But her in America, they could have been 3 guys off the street who Trivago coaxed off the street with a free lunch to appear.

im hoping Trivago goes on their uniform next year instead of their training kits. Such a better look and partner than “3”. 3 may have a year left on the deal, but with them suspending things because of the Ukraine War, and with our new ownership official, I don’t know what that means for the partnership.

A little teaser from the Sky Sports Transfer Center this morning, the idea of Lewandowski to Chelsea was floated. Now just floated only, possibly Lukaku is going back to Italy. Then I scrolled down and they floated Jesus from Man City to the Blues.

Well there’s a lot floated right now. Lukaku no longer wants to play for Tuchel. That relationship is beyond repair. He fired his agent, hired another attorney and is set on returning to Milan. So I doubt he’s back. I’d take Lewandowski for sure, and I think it’s being explored but nowhere near a reality at this point.

I like Jesus and have only seen brief mentions of that. Sterlings name comes up a lot, and that’s one that I don’t want at all.

and apparently Dembele on a free is said to be very close. That’s the one to keep an eye on.
Kounde, the French CB from Seville could be announced today.

skysports.com/transfer-centre is a good site to follow when you have nothing to do. That is where I get these stories from.

The latest is Ten Hag "monitoring" Mount to make a "shock" move because Mount is paid very little.
I have no idea what player would want to play at Man U. They are a big club that is tinpot on the field. Frenkie De Jong has said thanks, but no thanks. But hey Ten Hag is still gonna push.

Their reign is over. They're a big marketing club and that is it. They've gone down hill like a runaway truck with brake issues since Sir Alex retired.

Just about every promising player who has signed for them in the past 5 years has really fizzled out. McGuire, Wan Bissaka, Sancho, DePay (who is very good since he left), Rashord's stock has dropped and Lingard was great with West Ham on loan but now is mediocre again.

Bruno has about been the only younger player who has flourished.

I think it was skybet or sky sports that ran transfer odds that you could wager. That was the best tracker because the bookies and oddsmakers know best when it comes to everything. I used to follow it every day. But a couple years ago it switched and you needed a VPN to access it because you couldn’t use skybet in the US.
Now I have a few chelsea centric twitters that I follow. But the best transfer guy in business is fabrizio Romano. He’s regarded as the hardest worker with the best contacts.

the guy on Sirius XM that they bring on for their transfer discussions, Grahme Bailey is ok but he’s a Man U shill.

He probably doesn't know who they are, I don't and I watch soccer
Yeah 95% of the people watching Neil Cavuto could easily assume they are three commercial actors and not world football superstars.

I think I've seen that commercial, and didn't think twice about it? I wouldn't recognize Chelsea's warm up suits. I watch Cavuto sometimes. I actually watch all the news stations, depending on the topic, like for example if they start talking COVID I flip somewhere else, I probably watch 50% Fox, 40% CNN and 10% MSNBC, The only Chelsea player I would recognize is Pulisic.

Man U can suck my d!ck. I wish they would have finished 8th and had no European tournaments equating to a poor transfer summer equating to less than full stands at England's version of that dump up in State College.

Arsenal might be one to look out for next season if they can pick up some good transfer pieces. After starting 0-3, scoring no goals in those 3, they played very well and over achieved. Pep Jr. might have something going on over there.

I’d watch out for Tottenham myself. Conte is a serial winner and they are giving him money to spend. Perisic for Milan was just signed and they swooped in and grabbed him from under the nose of Chelsea. Dude had a great year in Italy and can still ball. He would have been the #3 fullback/wingback at Chelsea because James and Chillwell are the obvious starters…but you need a solid 3rd because those guys can’t play all matches and Chillwell is still coming off an ACL. So Perisic chose Spurs instead but I would have loved to have him. There might be some kind of a swap in the works for Dest to Chelsea, considering Barcelona are taking our aging backs off our hands. I’m still a Marcos Alonso fan but he has his limitations obviously. Dude should have been a striker not a fullback. Lol. He scores goals but can’t defend. Dest could be a solid reserve for Chelsea with upside to be an impact starter there or somewhere else. It just won’t happen at Chelsea unless James or Chillwell move on.

I wonder if there’s a futures bet somewhere where I can put money on Tottenham winning a trophy next year. They haven’t won one in a generation, and this next year could be the time. Conte had them top4 and will only improve the squad.

Spurs yes, great call. I can see them winning Europa. Already a strong start to the transfer cycle. Just think, a short 9 months ago Harry Kane was on his way out. Is there really a better 1-2 duo up front in the world right now between him and Son Heung Min?

It'll be interesting to see what Brighton does as well, very good season by them and their under budget. Can Pat Viera get Palace into Europe? Can 3 promoted teams stay up? What will Newcastle do?

EPL will be fun to watch next season.

Ahh. I almost missed your point. So what you’re saying is Tottenham will drop out of champions league after group play and then win Europa? I think Conte will have them reach UCL knockout rounds.

If they’re going to win a trophy, my assumption is one of the two domestic cups.

Yes, I don't see them getting out of the group stage, well that will be depending on the draw. But Conte is very good so unless they draw a group of death, getting out of the stage is possible. Alot will depend on the back 4.

On another note. My heartstrings are pulling for Ukraine today but reality wants nothing to do with them. Eastern European teams are gritty tough and talented. I'd much rather see the US play the Scots or Wales.

And Yarmolenko put the Ukrainians up 1-0 @ Hampden Park.

My opinion, if the Ukraine makes it through, the U.S. get eliminated in the group stage.

I turned it on late. I will be pulling for Wales. I want no part of Ukraine in our first match in Cutter.

I wanted Scotland. Because I think they are pretty clearly the worst of the three if all are in form.

The one commercial that always kills me is the Powerade one with Conte and Simon Biles, who in the Hell is that for lol
