The publishing of Miller stories from local writers shortly followed by Miller's tweet seem to me to be good PR from the Miller camp. It is pretty obvious that he had interest and needed to save face.
I would like to think that Hurley made a decision for Pitt, Pitt informed Miller of Hurley's decision, and Hurley is spreading some good PR (via spreading information that Matt reported) for his exit from URI without being a villain .
Who knows? There can be thousands of reasons for each move.
At the end of the day, Heather is a player. If the above is true, she was working two good hires, and her preferred coach said yes.
If the above is not true, she has a large bank roll; great facilities; the ACC....she will go down her list of desirable coaches that she wants and be aggressive. Heather appears to not be making traditional Pitt moves on this search.
