It has been bounced around that once a player commits to PITT, they will not be able to take visits to other places. Now, that was based on comments that were pretty vague and not clearly defined, and I guess this class will be a better indicator about what exactly was meant by that.
My question is, what exactly is this staff going to do if say, a Robert Washington wants to commit early, takes officials (like he has already stated he will)? Would this staff not accept his commitment?
....say a Damar Hamlin commits to PITT, gets a late push from a blue blood, Notre Dame, Bama, Michigan, etc.....is the staff going to pull his scholarship.
I guess before being outraged by this method I should wait until it actually happens, however, I do not feel it would work out well for PITT in the end. That may work better at big power schools with limited spots in the class, who can replace the kid with a similar player, but we watched this back fire on Rutgers just 1 class ago.
