HCPN has said on multiple occasions during the spring practice interviews that he has not watched game tape from last season. In fact, in his interview from practice yesterday, he made it a point to mention this.
I am trying to wrap my head around why he keeps saying this. Is it because he wants to make it known that it is a clean slate for the entire team? Does he think so little of the old staff after attending the bowl game that he feels that he would be wasting his time watching the tape (especially on the D side of the ball)? I can see why he wouldnt want to watch it (for the reasons I mentioned above), but I think he could at least gather some information and teaching moments for his team by doing so.
My apologies if you addressed this question already. Yesterday's interview had to be the 3rd or 4th time he mentioned not last season's games, so I wanted to pose the question. I find it interesting that he keeps mentioning this.
