the goal is to win. it doesn't freaking matter who picks the dc. why do people constantly bash barry? you do it every chance you get. he has been nothing but money for that school.
as much as our admin has failed, we would be wise to find someone like barry. pitt fans need to take a look in the mirror, we should be the last one to bash another schools ad.

I wish the PITT administration starting with Gallagher was smart enough to select an AD as qualified as Barry Alvarez.
The AD sets the tone for an athletic department.
Some on here say the AD is just a fundraiser. Not true he or she must understand and be involved in the U sports especially DI football and basketball!
The AD is a part of the management team governing D1 U sports.
PITT has had two losers which reflects poorly on the teams.
Bad AD's make recruiting players, coaches, fans, very difficult all of the ingredients to winning teams!
And winning teams bring in more fans!
