No idea if you're local or not, but Pittsburgh has received several similar such accolades from major national publications in recent years. So this type of recognition isn't new.
Still, it is good to see that the trend is continuing, along with the positive feedback and recognition. The transformation of the city from it's heavy industry past to what it has become is really quite amazing. Those of us that get to experience it firsthand on a regular basis are really very fortunate.
Pittsburgh is aesthetically beautiful; has fabulous schools and universities; is relatively affordable for many in comparison with other cities; has reasonable job opportunities - in particular in the high tech, medical, professional, education and service sectors. Generally speaking, Pittsburghers are a very friendly and helpful bunch, too, compared to many other urban metro areas.
