Sam is a guy that's probably either a late round pick or a UDFA. He has one year where it's pretty much a guarantee he can use his talents to make money that he wouldn't have to opportunity to make if he remained at WF.
I think it's cool Patti has another opportunity to start. Fate wasn't kind to NP in the Peach Bowl last year.
He played 5 seasons for Wake. If he has a shot at starting for Notre Dame as a grad transfer, he should do that if he wants. The only issue I have with transfers is the tampering.
Yes and no. If he gives it a shot and doesn’t start, he won’t be wondering what if. Based on this past season though, I don’t see why he wouldn’t start.
When Hallett heard he would get to play against Hartman again he was reconsidering whether to come back this year.

Agreed. I am rooting for Nick Patti. I always liked him and would have rather seen him start over Slovis. I mentioned this last summer and people mocked me.

It is one of the great mysteries of the universe why he has decided to hide the fact that he is the second greatest quarterback in the history of the sport from everyone for all these years.

Wake Forest started a QB who already told the team he was leaving to play for another college football team might be the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen in college football.
ND is where QBs go to regress. There are a helluva lot of other schools who would use him better.
Going to ND to be a quarterback is like dating the prettiest girl around who is frigid.
