Clemson beats the Cuse in the Carrier Dome...

They aren't good. Probably 6-12 in ACC. That wont go down as a resume win for us. We still have everything to do.
Funny to see the same people that were pimping Cuse (SMF) earlier in the year, and how they would be a tough game for Pitt and we shouldn't assume a win, now are calling them awful that we beat them.
Typical around here...if we win a game, the other team isn't any good.

Syracuse had the lead at some point in the final 4 minutes of each of their losses.
If the games were 36 minutes long, they might be 3-0.
Syracuse's problem is that they have no depth at all. Their starters all seem to play 35+ minutes every game, and they just get gassed at the end of games.
Boeheim has now finished his sentence. He'll be back at practice and on the bench now going forward, and that's not a small thing. Don't be surprised if they give UNC a helluva game this weekend.
I still think Syracuse ends up around 8-10 or 9-9 in the league.

As I wrote after we beat them.....we were always described as being better than the sum of our parts. Well, Syracuse is less than a sum of their parts.
Syracuse has three very good parts..... Richardson, Gbinije, and Roberson. Cooley is overrated. After that, they have NOTHING. Zero bench.
But with Boeheim back now, don't be surprised if they start to look so much better. Hopkins' use of timeouts and just general coaching has looked pretty awful these three games.
That is why I still think we are an unknown right now. There are a lot of great elements in our game but then some very weak ones. I just don't know how that will all play out.
And truthfully that is why many pundits are criticizing are OOC because they probably just don't know what to think.
Well they did beat Texas A & M and Uconn earlier in the year back to back when those teams were ranked but Syracuse hasn't beat anyone of note since and losing toClemson at home is a bad loss anyway you look at it....So maybe the "pimping" was reasonable once upon a time or is that too complex for you to comprehend? You're an avid conspiracy theorist.
Missed free throw and coaching blunder cost them the game in regulation. Richardson missed one of two free throws with 18 seconds left which left them with a 3 point lead. The Cuse let them shoot a 3 pointer to tie the game with 11 seconds left instead of fouling and then missed a 3 point shot in the last 8 seconds.
I didn't see the game, but why would you foul with 11 seconds left and a 3-point lead? That is way too much time.
Clemson made the tying three with a deep shot from the corner with about 2 seconds left to tie it.
In retrospect, Syracuse should've fouled on the floor before the shot.
No. If Clemson beats a team A on team As home court, then team A isn't any good. Clemson is a perennial bottom feeder.
Clemson won't have the opportunity to play Pitt at the Pete this year, but with home wins against Louisville and now Duke to go with their road victory at Syracuse, they're looking like a team you need to take seriously.
