Clemson has the current longest Home Winning Streak at 20 games. It will interesting to see how the Panthers play against one of the Best Coaches, Players, and Teams the last 5 Years ranking 11th overall. Pitt’s first-ever trip to Clemson is a tall order to overcome with the current condition of the Team. Few to none expected a win in the Preseason and safe to say the Best in the ACC will be tough to beat even without injuries. Would not want it anyway. Pitt is rebuilding its Program and Team after joining the ACC in 2013.

Offense: Clemson. The Tigers are averaging 488.4 yards per game, though Pitt’s offense is very good as well. Having Watson gives the Tigers the edge.

Defense: Clemson. This is a no-contest.

Special Teams: Pitt. Against Miami, Quadree Henderson returned a kickoff 100 yards for his fourth touchdown in 10 games.

Coaching: Clemson. Dabo has been bringing his own guts since becoming the Tigers’ head coach.

Intangibles: Clemson. This is a wounded Pitt team, and the Tigers are on a College Football Playoff path.

Henderson is a special talent. The Panthers sophomore has become one of the best return men in the Power Five, and he can be a real X-Factor in the team’s quest to upset the Tigers. He is electric and a possible touchdown in the making every time he gets his hands on the football.

Well, another downer prediction. Pitt can't stop anyone right now. Until we find a way to play at least mediocre defense, we're not going to beat a good team, let alone a very good top 10 team at home. Watson will be the best QB we've faced to date and we know what the others have done to us. I'm worried that they completely boatrace us and run up 60+ points. I also worry that Pitt's offense is going to stall a bit this week. Clemson has athletes at every position. I think Pitt may find it tough sledding against their defense.

All told, I see a very ugly L coming our way. If we keep this game within 20 that would be a decent result and the only way I can see that happening is if Clemson makes a ton of mistakes (>3 turnovers and lots of key penalties). Not likely IMO. My prediction:

Clemson: 56

Pitt: 24

Clemson went into Tallahassee and put up 37 against a defense filled with future NFL talent. Against Pitt, they could easily hang 55-60.

Pitt's offense has put up points, (though point totals include Hendersons kickoff returns) much of which is done with smoke and mirrors such as the jet sweeps, the O Neill, touchdowns.

None of that will work against a Clemson defense.

That said, Pitt will surely try to run the ball and grind the clock. If they secure the football they will lose 44-24.

If they turn the ball over it will be 56-13

Clemson is too close to the playoff to trip up now. The worst thing that could have happened to Pitt is NC State coming within a missed chip shot of knocking them off

Long day for Pitt.

Hoping to keep them under 42 points, but Clemson sure looks like the real deal: Clemson 55-32.
 
That point spread is easy money. A 21 point loss would be a huge victory for us, 28 points or worse much more likely - unless they pull their starters at half.
 
Only of the Offense wants to make amends and execute without Turnovers that cost 2 TDs in the last game. Still, the Clemson Offense will be seen right away how QB Deshaun Watson is playing at a High Level in the First Drive. Very QB Pitt has Played as been prepared to play Pitt either in the Opening First Series of Plays like Nova, OKSU, Miami, Virginia, and VT or in the 4th Quarters such as Penn State, UNC, Marshall, GT! Clemson is playing great Ball and just can't see Pitt staying with them in the entire game.

I'm usually optimistic.. However, I blew it last week, thinking we would take a W at Miami... I missed on two things: a) Miami D was better than I thought, b) Our D was worse than I thought.......
Now for Clemson.. We know Clemson will be very good... unfortunately, injuries keep stacking up on our side...
I am hoping we can keep it as close to the Betting line as possible.... My prediction is similar to many others...
Lets get past this one, and get on to the Duke & Syracuse games....

There are opportunities for several young men who will see substantial playing time against one of the best offensive and defensive teams in the country. Although Watson should receive a huge share of the limelight and the successes that Clemson has had, their defense is incredibly talented along both the DL and the secondary.

PITT will likely need to rotate in guys like Folston, Watts, Hamlin, Brightwell, Jackson, Whitehead, and Edwards on defense. While on offense, the team will rely on guys like Moss, Henderson, Tipton, Hall, Matthews, and Ffrench. These are guys that Narduzzi brought in during his first two recruiting classes which have made an impact this year, and will continue to make an impact for the next couple of years. That's a lot of guys who have only been at PITT 1-2 years who will see the field against a very good team on Saturday. How will these guys respond in what will likely be the loudest environment they will have experienced to date?

In the end, Clemson is an incredibly talented team at every position on the field. The PITT OL, which is the most experienced group on this team, really needs to work to give Peterman time to find the receivers. If Peterman is forced to run around in the backfield while trying to find someone downfield, this could be a long day.

My hope is that PITT comes out of this game making Clemson earn the victory, rather than giving the game away like they did in the UNC, VT, and Miami games.

I think we hang fairly close at the half and Clemson comes out strong in the 2nd as Maim i did. I think we score a few late to make it look closer than it really is: 52-40, Clemson.

72-0...Steve will be rehired, rebrand Pitt to Pittsburgh, and reintroduce torch-cut and dino-cat.
 
If Pitt runs the ball deliberately they can stay in this because they will score. Keep Clemson off the field, breaking their rhythm somewhat but knowing they will score as well. Avoid getting way behind early. Pitt isn't built to play catchup

I think Pitt comes out ready to play and this game is competitive at halftime.

Superior talent eventually takes over and Clemson wins 44-28.
