I stopped at the Starbucks on Fifth this morning and saw Coach in a corner talking to whom I thought was a recruit. A bit later I see Nisa walk in, and upon second glance, I am pretty sure it was Dillyn and not a recruit that he was conversing with. It looked like he was doing 30-minute meetings with, presumably, each of his players. From what I could overhear, they weren't necessarily talking about volleyball - more about life, how are you doing, what are your plans for the summer, etc. It appeared obvious to me that he cared and I am certain that the ladies see that and are very appreciative. Not a stretch to imagine that that carries over into the relationships among them, and to how they function as a team on the court. Great stuff,
