Beating Georgia Tech's Johnson is not easy for this Second Year Coaching Staff and Young Pitt Team. Johnson's Teams are always ready to execute and beat Pitt in prior years. Pitt made mistakes but never gave up and made many 3rd Downs and stopped the 4th Downs unlike near the end of OKSU & UNC. This is an improvement and the Defense played tough and still needs more work.
I am very proud how the Panthers never give up under Coach Pat & Staff, and Pitt is still losing close games by giving up big leads, but they are winning close Games by coming from behind as well. This is something I did not witness that often under Harris, Wannstedt, Graham and Chryst. Now comes the challenge of a Passing Virginia Team that will be seen on ACCN again next week. As Pitt prepares for Virginia Tech, Miami and Clemson and we will all see how Pitt does against best of the ACC Coastal and Clemson?
I know Pitt still has so much to show and improve on in the remaining Games, but last year close wins and losses are an improvement from previous years. The Players are responding. Here is a comparison of Coaching Staff come and gone and new ones to challenge Coach Pat & Staff.
