After that embarrassing defensive performance there was no way that was going to happen. And for the icing on the cake, 6 teams dropped out of the rankings in the Coaches Poll and we STILL DID NOT get in.

I swear some of you on here live in an alternate reality. No way we are a top 25 teams giving up 60+ points to a bad Syracuse team with a back up quarterback. But you guys can keep thinking otherwise though.

The poll that matters is the CFP poll on Tuesday. Pitt will be ranked.

After that, ESPN and other networks use the AP rating next to the teams on their scroll.

The coaches poll is the least used and quoted. would've been nice to be in it, but we moved from 33rd to 28th... so yesterday's game was still positive there too.

I doubt the Big Ten gets another team in because it's almost similar to the big 12 scenario in 2014. Say PSU wins, there will be a strong argument to make that they are conference champions and they should get in. But then Michigan also with 2 losses has a strong argument in that they absolutely manslaughtered Penn State.

I think it's Clemson and Washington now. Next two up would be ou/ok st. winner and then if Colorado beats Washington they could also move in. But it will be interesting to see where Michigan, Wisconsin, and PSU are ranked this week.

Big 14 teams always get ranked higher than they should. Money talks and they make the most so they get the most leeway on rankings.

Pitt definitely deserves to be ranked, and I believe top 20. 4 loses and most of all, defense is hurting the ranking. Don't sleep on Iowa. Not fancy, but they are a solid team. Michigan State will also be back. Tons of injuries, but they have recruited well, especially on D.
