PN and staff made 2 decisions that cost Pitt a win. First was not going for the TD on 4th and goal. PN has made the exact same decision at almost the same time (4th qtr.) in 3 games this year all losses. 2 of the 3 Kessman missed the FG. Saturday the D was playing well. So if you don't score a TD you get the ball back at midfield with plenty of time left and a kicker who is on.

The 2nd poor decision was to blitz on the play Miami scored the wining TD. Miami has a poor field kicker. So hold them to a field goal try. Pitt blitzed Ford and at least 1 LB. Hamlin may have also been blitzing. Had the safeties been back hopefully one would have may a play and held Miami to a FG. On their TD play, it looked like Miami was in max protect with only receiver on a route. it looked as though Miami's QB hurried his throw when he saw the blitz. Ford got there 1 step too late.

Hopefully PN will learn Pitt needs to go for the win and not try to avoid a loss.

With all that said, if Pitt wins out and UNC beats UVA Saturday, Pitt cans till win the Coastal.
