so instead of talking about coaching changes which aren’t happening. Let’s see if anyone wants to discuss a recent history coaching staff.

I quickly put together a coaching staff from the last 20 years. I was relatively loose with positions. RB coach was the toughest for me.

HC-Dave Wannstedt

OC-Walt Harris

QB-Paul Christ

WR-Bobby Engram

RB-Mike Norvell

TE-Joe Rudolph

OL-Jim Hueber

DC-Pat Narduzzi

DL-Charlie Partridge

LB-Paul Rhoads

DB-Jeff Hafley

Recruiting coordinator-Greg Gattuso

interesting that Hafley and Norvell are the two hot names in coaching now. I would maybe switch out Wann'y o-line coach for Hueber. And OC I would go with Canada

Norvell was Co-OC/WR

I would fight to the end over Walt being the OC. He is the best offensive coach Pitt has ever had in my opinion. He was not a great recruiter and often neglected the defense but Prime Walt produced regular Biletnikoff award candidates and QBs who put up huge stats. He used his running backs pretty well especially considering he never had great lines. Him and Hueber would be a dream offensive combination in my opinion.

For years, I've been pumping up Jeff Hafley and everyone thought that was crazy. He is in line for a number of openings right now. We need him to stay at OSU 1 more year and then make him an offer next year if the team tanks.

The problem with Walt as OC was he got too cute way too often. I remember countless times where Barlow was get 6/7 ypc only for Walt to pass, pass, pass our way to defeat when victory was in hand. He did this after Barlow too.

yep, the insight bowl is exhibit A of this.

Tony Wise was the O line coach and he was a great one. Also agree with Canada.

yeah, I couldn't think of his name, but Wise had a good background and the oline was pretty good with him. Heck he made a under-sized Malecki into one of the better offensive lineman in the Big East after converting from d-line.
