College BB by the numbers

Pitt is 21st in the nation in BB spending. These are 2018-2019 year's numbers. We are 7th in the ACC behind Duke, Louisville, FSU, Syracuse, UVA and UNC. We spent almost a million over the median spending in the conference. But that is half of what Duke spends. They spend the most of any school in the country.

These numbers are misleading because they can include so many different things like paying 2 HC's at the same time, 1-time arena renovations, foreign trips, etc

spending is spending and shows invesment even when the spending is misguided. that just shows that management is the question based on how its spent. but spending is spending
