1) DUI crimes have a 33% recidivism rate. Let's hope he learns his lesson the first time.
2) This is a great lesson to learn BEFORE someone is hurt.
3) This is bigger than football. This may be an isolated incident, a single poor choice or a pattern of behavior, I don't know. I just hope the kid gets some counseling to really understand the severity of his actions and not miss the lesson.
If he's as smart as he is talented, he's going to come out of this wiser and more aware. Let's hope so. I'm sorry to hear the news.
