Haven't watched Wisky or much big 10 hoops at all this year. Having said that, when I fill out my March madness bracket, I will have them winning at most one game, and depending on the matchup, pick them to lose their 1st round game. Oh, and Blake does seem like a top notch individual !
With their loss to Iowa today they have now lost five of their last six.
So expect them to move up to around 18 in the rankings and a three seed by next week.
Wisconsin is another big Pretend joke…they’ll be under .500 in the conference soon but still be ranked thanks to the big Pretend shills masquerading as writers
They have 11 Q1/Q2 wins. 6 in Q1 alone.
And they only have 4 Q4 games on their resume and they are all wins.
So the resume is good…if you’re into that kinda thing.

Correct, but aren't we writing too much of the story in Nov and Dec? Like, you can't tell me the 22nd best team in the country is going to lose 5 of 6 games to that schedule. Just way too little room for mid/late-season improvement or regression is being left.
It's time to cut the conference games down to like 16 and play non-con games throughout the season.
He's talking about the things that the committee will talk about in the room, and the things that they will ultimately partly make their decisions based on.
You may not like that Q1 and Q2 wins are important, or that Q4 losses are important, or that there is any such thing as quadrants. But that's the kind of things that the NCAA has said are important and have said that they are going to use. And if that's what they are going to use, why would people not talk about it?
You are missing the point. People just pointing out the system is rigged. Big Pretend teams are all over ranked so therefore these bums stack up these Q1 and Q2 wins by beating each other. The Big Pretend stinks and they prove it every year at tournie time. I wouldn’t wager a plug nickel on Purdue reaching the sweet 16.
There has not a bigger basher of the B1G on these boards than me through the years. But if you look at the quality of their Q1 wins, they belong. Whether I like it or not. And I clearly don’t.
But how did they get ranked the way that they are? And I'm not talking about the AP Poll, which doesn't really matter, I'm talking about their NET rankings, which actually matters.
They got ranked the way that they did because of what happened on the court. For instance, in the case of Wisconsin, they have a 24 point win over Virginia on their resume. as well as a win over Marquette. Purdue beat Tennessee, Marquette, Alabama and Arizona among others. Michigan State beat Baylor and the darlings of the moment (or, well, the darlings up until this week), Indiana State.
Yeah, they get a lot of Q1 and Q2 wins from playing each other, but they all got to be Q1s and Q2s in the first place because of what they did on the court, in the non-conference schedule.
