For how frustrating Pitt has been we have managed to avoid absolute crater years till now. We had never lost more than 7 games in a year going back to the 90’s.
It’s pretty astonishing actually. It’s amazing that despite our mediocrity we’ve never been truly really bad.
Now though, I don’t see a way back. Every part of me wants him fired but I know realistically that can’t happen, but I do not see a way back from this.
Yay, he won the ACC, but then he managed to immediately destroy it by making what will turn out to be one of the worst hires in the history of the program, all because he didn’t like playing a modern version of football.
I hope I’m wrong, but I think at this point it is just a matter of time as I think this will kick off a rebuild he can’t survive
