Congratulations on the win. Question about your offense

I haven't watch you guys this year. Is the shuffleing around on offense pre snap something you did a bunch of this year? It really confused our D. Additionally, we are usually creating the confusion with our D moving around pre snap. You guys completely stopped that. I don't recall a single false start by your Offense. That typically never happens at Death Valley. Our crowd noise is usually good enough to generate at least one or two false starts or a delay of game. Gotta hand it to your coaching staff. We got out coached. Welcome to the ACC.

Yeah, lots of shifting and motion. Pitt also has an EXCELLENT OL. That's a VERY underrated aspect of the Pitt offense that many fans of opposing teams that don't follow the Panthers on a regular basis maybe aren't aware of.

Yes, our new OC Matt Canada introduced it this year. I think you probably nailed its intent -- it takes the purposeful movement away from the D. Instead of the D creating confusion by shifting around against a stagnant, readable offense, the defense has to be adjusting to the offense pre-snap. Eventually, someone gets caught out of position, and it gives the advantage to the QB, if he is capable of seeing breakdowns in coverage.
On Pitt's second TD, Bollwear (sp?) blitzed and no one picked up Conner coming out of the backfield, for an easy TD. It may have been influenced by the pre-snap movement.
Anyway, if you guys win out, you should make the final four. Good luck!

The only game without the shifting around was the opener vs Villanova which was intentionally kept plain vanilla,

If we had a pass defense we could be undefeated. We haven't scored under 28 yet--averaging 37.6 points per game offensively--38.7 if you throw out the Villanova opener when the offense was intentionally dumbed-down to show Penn State nothing.

we usually do a lot more of the jet sweeps but your front 7 were too fast and strong and were well prepared for it. hence the inside shuffle pass. you guys took so long to adjust but i wasn't sure if they were giving that to us to eliminate the sweeps.

we really only have one true WR who contributes (weah) and he played a pretty nice game yesterday. and you guys got our QB's best performance of his life. lot of credit for everything goes to him being steady, taking hits, and making mostly pretty good throws.

you saw james conner at his best, who is terribly under-rated nationally b/c he's not your typical quick scat back type of guy who rolls up big yards in college football. but he's a load and just shifty enough.

the one thing us pitt fans kept wondering is why did clemson keep trying to run the ball when our secondary is so bad?

Thanks. One thing that I've noticed is that our OC, Matt Canada, always shows at least one new wrinkle in every game.

So just when a team thinks that they've watched enough video to be prepared for Pitt's shifting and motions, up pops something new.

I can't point out enough how poorly the secondary has played this year. Specifically the corners. Pitt has been strong everywhere but man pass coverage, a pretty integral part of Narduzzi ball. My concern is as bad as it has been, noone in waiting is ready to step up. That concerns me going forward.

Our coaches are hard headed about run game. Our run game is terrible when the QB can't run. Since Watson had the shoulder injury,we could not use QB run which we use to help the traditional running game. I think if Watson did not have the shoulder injury, he would have had a pass run option on the 3rd and 4 th short down plays

Our coaches and players admitted they were surprised by some of what they were seeing
