On the Whitehead, I believe he's on thin ice and coaches are sending him a message. Will be interesting to see if he has the right mindset when he comes back.

As expected, Conklin lists Stocker and Garner at FS and Briggs and Campbell at SS.

I have confidence in these young guys, but isn't it amazing that for the start of season, at the moment, none of the big names are in the discussion at the safety spots?

The three biggest recruits of each of the past three seasons (Whitehead, Hamlin, and Ford) are all listed at safety and are all MIA, for different reasons. Eventually, maybe, we'll get to see them play. But if not, its next-man-up, and these guys can play too. I'll mention it again, but I've been high on Campbell since I first saw him as a HS senior, and I think he can be a stud.
