Thank you for your ability to run through people.
Thank you for taking time to lift people up.
Thank you for being an inspiration.
Thank you making all who watched you play feel like we were able to kick cancer in the f*&%^in teeth.

THANK YOU, JAMES, THANK YOU

He knows that his opportunity will never be better than now. Another year at Pitt taking hits and potential injury is not worth the risk. Someone in the NFL will draft a special young man and talented RB.

RIP Northwestern defense.
Good luck JC. He'll end up going in the 3rd after getting his 40 time down around 4.6

Often you hope for a player to stay at your program and play that last year of eligibility. Not this time. It is the right time for Conner to go the NFL and make his coin, and he will make the Panthers proud for ever.
He will always be remembered as one of our greatest players of all time, and the most loved.

The right decision. What a player! Just wished he would have announced sooner so he could be honored on Senior Day like the Clemson early entrants were before their game vs us.

I hope we retire his jersey regardless of what he does in the NFL.

Selfishly bummed he is leaving...but he is making the right choice. Hopefully he will get with a great S&C coach who gets him in perfect shape for the combine...and if he falls to the 4th round or later, someone is getting a steal.

Of course he will be mentioned when talking of someone making a positive impact here. One of the first names that will be.

Thanks for the memories James. Dream big, play big and most of all love big. You are a shining example of what we as humans can be. You are blessed.

If anyone ever earned the right to leave on their own terms, it is surely James Conner. Some lucky NFL team is going to get an outstanding player and person.

This is school is losing a true legend. There's never going to be another one like him coming through here. Honored to have watched him in person in 2013 and 2016. Good luck James!!

What is interesting is how the NFL game has evolved.

A generation ago...JC would be a 1st rounder going away. he is a modern day Randy MacMillan

But in any event...he will be an excellent weapon for almost any team in the league.

Time to get paid James. you will be missed . ....

Couldn't have said it better. Would have loved to keep him a year and see him at full strength, but--what you said. Just a huge credit to his family, his city, his school, football, and humanity. All class all the time. Hope he makes more money than anyone ever has in the NFL.

Maybe I am looking thru blue and gold glasses, but Conner in the 5th to 7th is a steal. Best of luck to a fantastic young man.

I checked to sites that have him drafted in rounds 4-6! He is rated 15th to 18th best RB going into the 17 Draft! He's coming one with a deep class, whoever get him will get the steal of the Draft!

I think he's a mid-round back and it'd be insane if anyone let him drop past the fourth. I know I want this guy in the black and gold.
