Like everyone else, I was and still am concerned about the future of my favorite sport. But, cooling off and looking at it rationally, I'm not sure this is going to be an endemic going forward.

1. I've long said that guys aren't leaving good teams with stable coaching. Addison obviously proves that wrong in this case, but I do think it's still relevant for most guys.

2. USC is desperate now. Maybe it'll be the new normal. Maybe there will be a blue blood trying to buy a team every year. But it feels like this might just be a uniquely USC thing for now.

3. We'll see what the return is. USC isn't going to win the national title. They're unlikely to win the Pac 12. I know money is crazy at some of these schools, but will there really be an appetite to spend $2m every year for a star WR? I doubt it.

4. The WR position attracts the biggest divas. This isn't new. NFL WRs are going insane with demands right now as well. It's also a position where you can easily transfer and be good.

5. There just aren't going to be many not draft eligible stars around the country at positions you can easily transfer without hurting your stock.

Obviously, I could be wrong and college football could be over as we know it. Just what I'm thinking now as I hope college football continues.

It still sucks that we're the poster child now for losing a player like this. And even if it never happens again, we're going to wonder how 2022 plays out if we had the best WR in the country on our team.
