Credit to Brown

If you had said before the game that we were going to get 11 and 11 from Brown I would have thought two things. First of all, are you sure you got that right? And secondly, that Coulibably must have really laid an egg for Brown to have gotten enough playing time to do that.

And he did lay an egg.

We could have won quite a few more games if Brown had played like he did today.

I think we often forget that losing Hughley was probably the biggest blow to this team. He wasn't all world but he could bang down below and was a presence in the lane
Yep. I was expecting Hugley to to become the pillar in the post ( pardon the dumb pun ). He is a big body that looked to have the will to get the ball in the rim down low. Opponents with bigger post men seemed to feast underneath on AKC and Brown.

Yep. He represented our best chance at developing an inside game and had a body to bang with other bigs. We are back to square one, and it has been so damn hard for us to bring in capable bigs regardless of who the coach is.

In the last 20 years, there aren't many players I respect more than Brown. He's been loyal during the most excruciating stretch of basketball history. I hope he comes back next year.
Certainly seems like a good guy and was happy to see him play so well tonight. Think if any player could have used the services of a good sports psychologist, it would have been Terrell Brown. He has the physical tools for sure.

What is maddening about Terrel is that we have seen this kind of performance from him at times over the last 4 years. And then it disappears, and for weeks he is just bad.

I would say if he was given a few more chances, he may have played a few more games like this. He really did not get too much run this year. I can understand it when Hugley is playing, not since.

If he comes back next year we will be in the basement of the league.

For all of Brown's limitations, he seems like a good guy and a good teammate. If Capel can find 5 or 6 guys that will be better than him next year and he moves on, sure. But I really doubt that's the case and there are far worse outcomes than Brown coming back and working on, I assume, his third Masters. Feels like he's been here forever.

Unless I'm forgetting somebody, Brown is the first Panther to stay here his whole career since the Young/Artis/Jones class, which is starting to feel like a long time ago.

Ryan Luther was at Pitt for four years and then transferred to Arizona.

We had Young/Artis/Jones graduate in 2017.
James Robinson in 2016.
Cam Wright in 2015.
Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna in 2014.
Tray Woodall and Dante Taylor in 2013.
Ashton Gibbs and Nasir Robinson in 2012.

10 graduating classes and only 12 players stayed their full careers.

Transfers are happening at all schools. Not just Pitt.

Third Masters? I was thinking his uniform would say " Dr. Brown" on the back next year.
