It was a good showing for Pitt. Two years in a row.

Only to have Pitt show up unprepared. Typical.
Oh, wait, let me add: "It's the fans fault".
Pitt wasn't prepared to sustain helmet-to-helmet shots to their three most important offensive players..... but I wouldn't say Pitt came out unprepared... and here's why:

- NU had three and outs on their first two offensive possessions. That's not an unprepared defense. That they played bad after that doesn't mean they didn't start prepared.

- Pitt's offense drove down the field into the Red Zone on their first three possessions. Pitt gained 39 yards on their very first offensive play, for chrissakes. 180 yards of offense on your first three possessions isn't being "unprepared". Some unfortunate events.... Henderson fumbling the handoff on the first drive, Aston tripping over his own feet on a sure touchdown on the second drive, and Peterman failing to look off the safety on the third drive.... have absolutely nothing to do with "preparation".

Agree with UPitt89. Never thought the team looked unprepared today. They did look unathletic on defense but that's nothing new. Sure hope there are better athletes in the pipeline, especially on defense.

Attendance was 38000 (use the google) ... Pitt side of field full and good spirited ... upper deck closed

There were people in various spots in the upper deck. Used my eyes
Majority of upper deck was closed ... i was sitting on 40 yard line so I could not see the upper deck above me ... despite all of that it was a good pro Pitt crowd on our side of the field ... NE side notably sparse (understandable given location and the fact that NW has vlittle football tradition or following ... likely just some NY metro alums)

Section 131 was late arriving for some reason. We had a good crowd and it looked at least 2:1 Pitt.

The best part was getting to know new Pitt fans. H2P
