Current ACC standings

Of the top 4 teams in the standings all have had at least 3 home games, (Clemson has had 4). All of the other teams in the conference except Syracuse (3) and Wake Forest (3) have only had 2 home games.

A better way to look at the standings is to give +1 for road wins and -1 for home losses, and 0 for home wins or road losses. Using that method, right now:
+2
UNC

+1
Clemson, Pitt, Va Tech, Louisville, Notre Dame, Duke

0
UVA, Miami, Fla St.

-1
Syracuse, Ga Tech

-2
Wake Forest, NC State, BC

I wouldn't give UNC a +1 for their road win at BC. The same for ND.

Yeah, a better perspective would be to leave games against BC out of the equation.

That's pretty weak logic. What difference does it make if Clemson beats the best teams at home? Pitt is going to have their hands full in the remaining home contests. They count.

Using the new formula Pomeroy released last week for rating home/neutral/road games, Clemson is 4-2 in "A" tier games and 1-1 in "B" tier, but 4-0 and 1-0 since Jan. 1. For comparison, Pitt is 1-2 in "A" and 1-0 in "B".

Clemson has a much better list of wins on their resume than Pitt does, but they also have way worse (and more) losses.

I would count it for sure. Having BC on the road is huge, because that means you didn't have to play a different team on the road. Having them at home is a waste of a home conference game. Stupid Jamie for scheduling them at home this year.
