Will he ever be a contributor?? There is a need for a backup point guard.

if he is relied on to be a contributor we are in big trouble. Good bench player to have but if his last name wasn't aiken we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. Not real impressed with his body of work at NA. So unless he improves 110%, I'd say not likely a contributor.

In his defense, his high school career was derailed by injury. That said, he looked like a Duquesne or RMU level recruit to me.

I have never seen him play. However he was given 3-stars at one time so that should at least mean that if healthy he ought to be better than a typical walk-on player.

24/7 ranked him #373 which equates to a solid mid-major. If you go by their rating of .860, he was rated (not ranked) slightly lower than Cam Johnson and Jamel Artis and higher than the following:

Terrell Brown
Austin Wallace
Ronald Ramon
Antonio Graves
Dwight Miller
Cassini Diggs
Doyle Hudson
John Johnson
John DeGroat
Tyrone Haughton
Samson George
Rozelle Nix
Ryan Luther
Jermaine Dixon

Now, as you can tell, there has been significant rating inflation over the years. Today's players are given higher ratings than players of the past. That said, at Aiken's rating, he at least has a chance.

That wasn't a knock on the kid or Duquesne/RMU.

Ya he probably could get some playing time at Duq/RMU.

I didn’t like RMU’s backup point guard this year & think Aiken could’ve got time there but he chose to pay for school at Pitt lol. B/C of his dad tho obviously.
