anybody else watch it? we've had our games where we've been screwed by refs but of course we're biased.
but not caring either way, the refs really screwed cuse. there were many but the biggest was when cuse was coming back. down by 7, the stuff clemson in their own territory on 3rd down. phantom flag and it's a 1st down. shaffer absolutely goes crazy, rightfully so, and then gets his team another 15 personal foul. field position changed and eventually clemson was too much. there were, of course, more phantom pass interference calls against cuse.
so 2 points: 1 - i'm no conspiracy guy but it's really hard to not interpret that officiating as anything other than the conference trying to keep clemson's ranking
2- cuse has played 2 top 10 teams tough up there. real tough. and this was their 4th qb or something crazy. shaffer just might be their guy. was a tough out this year and could be a real battle with them for the foreseeable future.
