INTEL: After scoring 1,052 total points at Temple, Damian Dunn could not find consistency playing behind Houston’s guard trio of LJ Cryer, Jamal Shead, and Emaneul Sharp. One school I have heard to watch for with Dunn is Pittsburgh. Clemson, Georgia, and NC State (he visited the Wolfpack) were among the schools involved with Dunn before he committed to Houston.
Dunn’s a shooting wing type and an older guy (believe it was mentioned during the tournament that he’s actually married with a young son). He is also from North Carolina. Of particular note…Dunn, as well as Erik Reynolds from St. Joe’s and the kid from Toledo who ended up at Baylor, were three players who Capel and maybe also Jason followed on social media in the 2023 offseason. I had speculated last offseason that they were potential targets for the staff before they had entered the portal, so it’s interesting to see Dunn’s name coming back up here.
