Dantonio could very well...

be sitting on a 6-game losing streak at this point next week.
Is his seat starting to get warm in Sparty land?
Dantonio can set the terms for his departure. After so much coaching turnover and lack of success for many years, what Dantonio has done at MSU with two and three star recruits is a minor miracle. He is held in the highest regard by everyone there, so he is not going anywhere.

Dantonio isn't going anywhere. He has been a successful coach there and the linking of Narduzzi to that job is folly. Pitt is not an easy job, but beating Michigan, OSU every year with who is now there no way Narduzzi leaves Pitt for that task. He really likes the gig here and sees the upside and benefit from a Chancellor and AD who are in his corner. He will rebuild the program to what it can become.

Pitt could be a big time job, excuses are for losers. Duzz is doing a good job coaching I believe , and his recruiting needs alot of work. You could hire a coach every year at Pitt and he would win 6 games , with the talent around and the conference we play in. I am not worried about losing him until he proves different than many before him. I don't want to lose him, but not the end of the world. The administration still doesn't play with the big boys. They have stepped up since the last group of clowns left, but we are still way behind in spending

Nards is a different cat.

He stuck at MSU for a long time, didn't jump at the first job.

He is a genuine guy and he also is a cultural fit at Pitt, he grew up in the region and has a real affinity for the city and school.

ND, if they came at him and offered a boat load of money, IDK, that would be something he would have to think about.

As long as the admin remains supportive, he is being paid reasonably and the coaches and other aspects of the program are funded, I don't think he goes back to MSU even if they come at him hard.

That said, people are right about D'Antonio. He is a LONG way from being in trouble.
Agree with all but one part of this-I really believe that when the MSU job opens up, unless he has been a failure at Pitt, Narduzzi will (1) be the top candidate for it and (2) would more than likely take it. By his own account he loved it there and is still close to MSU AD Hollis. It would be a great fit for all involved. Any Pitt fan that thinks he wouldn't leave Pitt for MSU is kidding himself/herself.

Now, two more thoughts: (1) the MSU job is a long way from opening up. Dantonio has a lifetime appointment. (2) Notre Dame will not go after Narduzzi any time soon, and if they did, he very well might turn them down. Tgwh don't pay all that well and the failure ratio of head coaches speaks to an endemic institutional problem there. if Kelly cMt get it done there, outside of Urban or Saban, who could?
