Again I don’t know why the kids run brick walls for a coach who do often throws them under the bus. It’s college dude and it’s only his second start ever. You tell him before the play. Don’t blame the kid.
Technically that might be true, but it is overwhelmingly prevalent in the game today that runners and especially QBs who are running are emphasized to slide down before going out of bounds in these situations. In every situation but this one, biased refs don’t seize on the situation to reverse a clear first down. Too bad.No need for him to slide. Just keep running
and go out of bounds. There would have been
no doubt. Of course it's easy to sit here and
say it. Vay Ar thought he made the first down
and went into his slide. He diddn't hit the
turf with any part of his body until he was past
the sticks.
What he should have said is that: under my direction my offensive coordinator and i put together a plan that allowed us to keep it close enough for us to lose, if a couple breaks went against us. That's exactly what happened and it's on me. He isn't man enough to admit how bad he and the staff were in this one. I'm sorry, but, the players deserve better. Take these kids off the leash and let them play. If they suck, I can live with that.He shouldn’t throw his player under the bus … but we all know. He can’t publicly complain about the refs; he’d be fined, and then the refs would triple down on screwing him in subsequent games. This actually happened earlier in his coaching stint as we recall. He bItched over bad calls, and the refs put a target on his back for years thereafter. Heck, this game shows it still may be there.
Bottom line, conferences having their own refs is an awful thing. It’s proven week in and out. In the ACC the bubbas always favor their own
Good for him. Pitt got a championship and wake is 4-3. Eff him
Just run out of bounds, avoid the contact, and the first downThe QB slide is the worst play in football. QBs should be taught to never slide. Just dive forward onto the ground.
He should have known he could run out of bounds and end the game. It's 2nd grade math.
Narduzzi is a FREAKIN ASSHOLE!
And get concussed? Let’s stop being dumb! The QB slide is the worst play in football. QBs should be taught to never slide. Just dive forward onto the ground.

What was he coached to do?
And get concussed? Let’s stop being dumb!
Because when you dive you’re still a live target! You don’t yourself up on a dive. C’mon people…we’re acting like we‘re on the Steelers board. How are you getting concussed diving forward? You can give yourself up by diving forward. Once you hit the ground you're down.
You're down in college as soon as you hit the ground.Because when you dive you’re still a live target! You don’t yourself up on a dive. C’mon people…we’re acting like we‘re on the Steelers board.
Ole damn…you can be down and still get hit in the head. And if you seen more guys get hit sliding, just imagine what would happen if they were diving?!You're down in college as soon as you hit the ground.
When have you seen anybody get concussed in college after diving on the ground? I've probably seen more geyvconcussed when sliding.

Nothing is ironic when 2 bad teams play a meaningless game for last place in the ACC.It is ironic. I can't blame Clawson one bit for his comment.
Bad. What he's really saying we play slow unimaginative football and he's right. In the spirit of the OP, Clawson pregame likened Pit to a Big10 team. Good or bad?

If compared to Michigan it is good, if compared to Michigan State, then it is bad.In the spirit of the OP, Clawson pregame likened Pit to a Big10 team. Good or bad?
