Should see if Brian Van Gorder wants to come take notes this week.

I can see offensive players wanting to go there. Makes no sense why a defensive player would go to Notre Dame when one of the top defensive minds in the sport is right down the street at Pitt.

He really does look like the real life Uncle Rico! I also read he has 5 kids and is divorced. That's a lot of kids

Big name, Average program. Nobody does less with more(talent) than Brian Kelly at ND. 4 and 5 star kids litter the roster and yet they remain average, especially defensively!

Yeah, who would want to play in games like that one last night, in an electric atmosphere with the whole world watching, several times a year? I just don't see the appeal.

Van Gorder is a pretty accomplished defensive coach as well. Maybe not as much so as Dooz, but he's considered one of the top DCs in college football.

If anything, Hinish and Adams may have trouble getting in the field at ND during their 4 years there, the talent and competition is serious there and they keep bringing 'em in every year.

I pay attention to football players decision, not what message board posters think should happen.

Yeah who wouldn't want to play against an unranked Texas team

Oooh and lose on national tv
Not as exciting as beating an fcs team with dozens of fans logging onto their laptops to see us play our annual scrimmage.

ya they make for great stories at the bar. Who would you rather be right now Tyler Boyd or Robert Foster? Maybe Foster can sell Boyd some stories about great crowds, Boyd has money to spare.

Robert's dad took some consolation prizes from Nick Saban and the Bama boosters tho!

Who would you rather be right now, the starting middle LB at Notre Dame or the starting MLB at Pitt?

Top HS players believe they can and will start wherever they go. If they didn't, they wouldn't be top players. Why are you assuming Adams and Hinish won't eventually become starters at ND? Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but you have no reason to assume the worst for them right now.

As I've said many times on this board over the years, I'm really looking forward to the day when our best selling point to a recruit isn't early PT.

nothing's more futile than guessing why/why not a kid chooses a college

look at the local kids that go to big schools and see what they do compared to the local kids that go to Pitt and what they do.
