I wasn't expecting them to start this year but is anyone else surprised to hear so little mention of these two? I mean, do we really have THAT much talent at those positions? I believe in development but talent is a seperating factor. If you have to wait until a kid is a JR or SR before he should show up, there better be some studs in front of them. That's not really the case at Pitt.
Coming off of a RS year, given our need and their supposed ability I thought they would be focal points of development for this staff. By no means am I writting anyone off or trying to sound concerned about a recruiting miss. Just a little surprised these two aren't a bigger part of the discussion.
To a much lesser degree, I'll include Taleni into the discussion. Last year he really looked to have trimmed down and in the games that he played, he seemed to live in the backfield and be effective pushing the pocket. I was shocked by his play against Miami. Does he not practice well? Why don't we hear his name mentioned? Am I alone on this or was anyone thinking the same on either point?
