** First Pitt shot the lights out in beating Kent State yesterday. Artis, Young and Robinson were all terrific. Jamel Artis was in a 'zone". He looked like he could make just about everything he threw up. Pitt will go as far as these three take them.
** Pitt was a poor rebounding team last year and wasn't any better last night. Artis has no interest in rebounding and Mike Young isn't much better.
** Pitt needs one of the three centers to step up. We need rebounds from them. That is their role. Last night Ryan Luther was the best of the three but my guess is all three will rotate as Coach Dixon tries to find and answer.
** We need to play more zone. Pitt does not really have a big man but they have quiet a bit on length on the roster. I think a zone has the best chance of turning it into a positive and not a negative.
** Shooting 63% from the 3-point line and 93% from the foul line will win you your share of games.
** To take a step up finding a way to rebound may be an ongoing search. Coach Dixon will be shouting defense and rebounding in his sleep.
