I think our biggest problem on defense is our defensive line. As several people have noted, Nathan Elliot had too much time back there to throw this past week. The Defensive line now has only 1 sack (Patrick Jones’ late this past game) against FBS teams, given Georgia Tech threw the ball only 15 times.
I think this is the cause of our DBs losing receivers. Even Weaver, our best lineman, has been missing on pass rush.
Whose fault is this? Partridge has been with these guys a couple years now. Is it just the scheme to limit pressure? Or do we just not have pass rushing types?
