No matter how you slice it, Duke is a dangerous opponent for Pitt. We can talk all we want about how tough Pitt's schedule has been to date, but Duke, despite their record, is playing very well right now, and is very capable of beating Pitt, and most other teams, as they showed last week in their win over NC. That broke a 3 game losing streak, but look at the losses, at Louisville by 10, at GT by 3, and VT by 3. Highly competitive, even at Louisville. Their young QB is getting better, and their defense is one of best in league right now. Cutcliffe is probably one of the 10 best coaches in the country, if not top 5. He saw a lot of Pitt in that Clemson game and will be prepared. Add to that the number of injuries on the Pitt defense, and it is a scary situation. Pitt had better be ready for a dogfight. I have confidence that Matt Canada will have a great gameplan, but the defense had better be on top of its game. If Pitt is focused, and ready to play, I see a good win, but if they are still 'floating' on the Clemson win, this game could be trouble. This would be a great win for Pitt in helping to finish the season strong.
