Pitt football has never finished a season ranked higher (better) in the final AP poll than where they were ranked at the beginning of the season. In addition, Pitt has never started a season unranked and finished ranked in the AP poll.
That seems crazy, but appears to be true. So if PN can get this team to finish ranked, it would be the first time in Pitt football's storied history that the team began unranked and finished ranked in the AP poll.
